What AllerGenius does
The complexity of molecular allergy confined the interpretation of these tests to a small number of highly skilled allergists.
AllerGenius was first presented in 2014 on the WAOJ as an interpretation support for ISAC. When ALEX became available, AllerGenius was upgraded by adding extract allergens to molecular components.
AllerGenius allows expert allergists to have powerful and updated help for the interpretation of allergens array for their patients. Less skilled allergists can benefit from the results of a modern technology associated to a complete and dedicated intepretation system.
AllerGenius & Alex
ALEX can be used as a second level diagnostics in allergic patients both in both the top-down (from clinic to the molecules) and in the bottom-up (from an extended IgE profile to the clinic and the therapy) approaches.
Results from the ALEX array are transmitted to the server housing AllerGenius. The system sorts the results, calculates derivate parameters and analyses results starting from hundreds of rules. At the end of this analysis, a report is produced and sent directly to the user.
AllerGenius, with its hundreds of rules, can sort allergens and components according to different families, identify the risk, verifying the consistency of the laboratory results, verifying whether the IgE profile is consistent with the patient’s clinic and, if required by the physician, AllerGenius can give first line therapeutic indications based on international guidelines.
Depending on the quality of the connection, this takes between 3 and 10 seconds.
